The annual Cornell Field Crop Research Field Day will be Thursday, August 1 at the Musgrave Research Farm, Aurora, N.Y. The program features walking and hay wagon tours in the morning and afternoon.

 

Morning & Afternoon Tours
Explore the research farm with walking and hay wagon tours featuring expert-led stops, including two tours by the New York Soil Health Team:

 

Kristen Loria & Matt Ryan: Balancing Trade-Offs When No-Till Planting into Cover Crops
Learn how to optimize your no-till planting practices to improve soil health and manage cover crops effectively.

 

Joseph Amsili: Soil Health Benchmarks, Carbon Stocks, and Solar Farms
Gain insights into the New York soil health benchmarks, understand the role of carbon stocks in sustainable farming, and discuss solar farms.

  • Vipan Kumar: Herbicide programs for weed control in corn and soybean

The program is free and open to the public. A light breakfast and free lunch will be provided.
